Me
My name is Shant Awanis. I'm a licensed real estate broker based in Dubai, the founder of Awanis Properties LLC, and a certified mortgage advisor in Dubai.
I help Dutch and International investors find, evaluate, and invest in Dubai off-plan real estate — with a clear head, a solid plan, and no pressure.
What makes me different is a combination you won't find often: 25 years of Dutch mortgage and financial advisory experience, deep knowledge of Dubai's property market, and a personal background that taught me very early on that the wrong decision at the wrong moment can cost everything.
A Life That Shaped How I Think About Investing
I'm of Armenian descent. My grandparents survived the deportations of 1915 and eventually settled in Iraq. I grew up in Baghdad, where as a young man I built my first business — Boutique Shant, a women's fashion boutique that became genuinely successful.
I served in both the Iran–Iraq War and the Gulf War. I went through and survived events I never thought I would survive — including B-52 bombardments.
I arrived in the Netherlands with nothing and had to start over completely. And I did.
I share this not because it's dramatic, but because it explains everything about how I work. I take safety seriously. I don't cut corners. And I never recommend something to a client that I wouldn't stake my own name on.

In the Netherlands, I built a career I'm genuinely proud of. I didn't just help people get mortgages — I helped them structure their finances intelligently, often finding solutions that other advisors had already told them weren't possible.
